Our cloud-based technology
Welcome to the first online construction software!
What is SaaS?
Software as a Service (SaaS), also known as Software OnDemand, is a software distribution model that provides clients access to software through the net (usually the internet), therefore clients don’t have to worry about maintenance applications, technical operations, and support. Apps distributed using the SaaS model can be used by any type of company no matter the size or geographic location. The user pays to use the software, as well as the needed infrastructure for the proper performance of the app (DataCenter, computers, storage, security, etc), and the infrastructure and app maintenance (new versions, bugs correction, needed storage, etc). It is a model that connects the product (software) with the service, in order to provide an integral solution for companies that allows them to optimize costs and resources.
What is Cloud Computing?
Cloud Computing is a computing style in which information technologies are provided as a service. Those services are located in data centers (Cloud), allowing users to access the services without needing technical knowledge, experience, or the infrastructure to maintain the service. It is a general concept that incorporates software as a service, for example, many recent Web services 2.0 use this technology in which the only requirement to access the service is having access to the Internet. An obvious example is Google Apps which provides online business apps which users can access through their web browsers, while the software and their data are stored on Google servers.
Where is my data?
Your data is stored at Amazon DataCenters, which are located in different parts of the world in order to guarantee maximum security. You can get more information about Amazon DataCenters at the following link: http://aws.amazon.com
Is my data safe?
Yes. Your data is safely stored since DataCenter has the best safety measures, and also has experts protecting your data 24 hours a day.
Can I get a copy of my data?
Yes, you can get a back up of your data. This service has a small additional cost (see services section) This is due to the large amount of traffic information needed to download a backup copy.
How is our infrastructure?
We have multiple devices on the DataCenter specialized in different tasks: Load Balancers, Web Servers, Data Base Servers, and Storage Units. This design is easily scalable, therefore we can increase the infrastructure within minutes when needed. BrickControl offers an integral infrastructure solution, therefore you won’t have to invest resources to meet these needs and you can center exclusively on your business.
What do I need to work with BrickControl?
Web browser: Internet Explorer / Firefox / Google Chrome / Safari / Opera – Internet access – Operating System: Windows / Mac OS X / IOS (iPhone – iPad) / Android / Windows Phone 8
Who can access my data?
You define the users and their roles by using the safety tool settings of BrickControl. Only the users you have granted access to can access your data. All the users’ login information is encrypted, which guarantees that only the users you have granted access to can access the information.
What availability does BrickControl offer?
BrickControl offers maximum availability thanks to the DataCenter structure in which our infrastructure is hosted. That infrastructure provides the redundancy mechanisms needed in order to continue to provide the services even if there is a failure in any machine.

What is the future of the software?
David Coursey some time ago made an excellent summary about the business management software history: “At first, software was provided in diskettes, then in CD-ROMs, and afterwards through downloads. The common feature of every software was that installation was required. The software of the future, will be different, since more and more applications will stop being distributed in a disc and will begin to be delivered as a service”. Leading global software manufacturers are already developing using the SaaS model. A few examples are: * Google Apps * Microsoft Azure * Salesforce. Also, the world’s leading companies are switching to the SaaS model: According to a survey made by the international consultant Gartner (https://www.gartner.com) approximately 90% of the 258 highly qualified professionals surveyed that are part of the world’s leading companies and are highly qualified professional which are also related to business software purchase, have stated that they expect to maintain or increase the use of the SaaS model. As part of their argument they have mentioned the following: the cost-effectiveness as well as the speed and ease of implementation. More than one-third of the people surveyed (37%) stated they plan on switching from the “traditional” software model to the SaaS model. In Asia this percentage rises to 50% and in India to 70%.
